The Raindrop Technique is the reason why I joined Young Living. I went to Frances Fuller for a “Massage” and I was blown away by the effects it had on me. It was like anything else I experiences. After the session I felt so relaxed and in peace with myself. I immediately asked where I could purchase the oils and I ordered my first Raindrop oils and Frankincense. This is how it all started more then 10 years ago and I do not want to miss the oils from my life anymore.

So, what exactly is the Raindrop technique?

Raindrop Technique is a healing modality, which combines the traditional benefits of massage therapy with the art of aromatherapy and the techniques of Vita Flex—rolling and releasing motions that activate the reflex points on the feet.

Raindrop Technique can help you to:

  • Relieve muscle tension and stress
  • Support spinal health
  • Enhance immune system
  • Assist in detoxification
  • Supports all Body system
  • Promote overall health, vitality & longevity

The Raindrop Technique was developed in the 1980’s based on Gary Young’s, the founder of Young Living, research with Essential oils and with information from a Lakota Medicine man named Wallace Black Elk. In the olden days the Native Indians would travel north to witness the Aurora Borealis. Those who were sick were often miraculously healed by the healing energy of the Aurora Borealis. When the Native Indians were no longer able to travel north due to the border set up with Canada, they would began practicing the energy process mentally, coupled with light stroking (effleurage) to facilitate the spreading of energy through the body. The Raindrop Therapy is based on the above healing technique in combination with other massage techniques.

The 9 oils used in the Raindrop technique are:

1 Valour a blend of black spruce, blue tansy, camphor wood, frankincense and geranium. It is em-powering and grounding and creates an atmosphere of security and peace.

2 Oregano, supports a healthy Immune, Respiratory and Lymphatic system and strengthens feeling of security.

3 Thyme supports a healthy immune system, muscle and bones. It also increases energy, aids concentration and has an uplifting fragrance.

4 Basil relaxes muscles and increases clarity of thought and help to open ones mind.

5 Cypress supports circulation and creates a feeling of security and grounding.

6 Wintergreen is supporting for muscle and bones and it reliefs tension. Its fragrance is elevating and increases awareness.

7 Marjoram supports the cardiovascular system, bones and muscles. It was known by the Romans as “oil of happiness” and is relaxing, calming and uplifting.

8 Peppermint supports the digestive, nervous and respiratory system, muscles, bones and skin. It is stimulating to the mind and increases mental accuracy.

9 AromaSiez blend contains basil, marjoram, lavender, peppermint, cypress and supports the respiratory system, muscles and bones.

The oils can also be used on its own, but they have a synergetic effect when used together. If one is unable to do the full raindrop technique one can also apply all 9 oils or part of them on his/her own feet.
